Windows Based Forex Trading

Email:

Most Broker Platforms Are Windows Based

Except for graphics designers, a few educators, and a few odd ball individuals, the rest of the world uses Windows (much to Microsoft's delight).

That means the just about every forex broker out there has his platform based on Windows technology.

So, believe me, there is no shortage of Windows platforms to choose from.

Just Choose What You Like

Pretty much, just choose the one that suits you best. Here are so of my favorites.

  • Oanda.com. Actually this broker's platform is Java based, meaning that it works on just about any computer. The broker behind this platform is truly committed to being the best broker out there for the small trader.
  • InteractiveBrokers.com. If your account is at least $25,000, then this is the broker to choose. Honestly their platform in a little confusing the first time you use it, but there is some much else going for this broker that they are clearly a good choice (like spreads as low as 1 1/2 pips).
  • FxDD.com. These guys are one of the many brokers to license the MetaTrader platform. MetaTrader is a great tool, and I like these brokers because they let you trade micro-lots.

The Platform Isn't the Crucial Issue

Remember, however, that the platform (or what system it runs on) is a relatively minor issue. Much more important is the broker behind the platform.

How good are they? What is their reputation? What is their customer service like? Yes, the platform and it's uptime is relevant. I just want you to be sure you don't focus on the minor issues and ignore the major ones.

It's the major issues (like I mentioned at the beginning of the first paragraph) that will have a huge impact on the profitability of your trading.

Trade well!
